Keizu - 系図 - is Japanese for a genealogy chart: a diagram tracing a family's lineage back through generations to its origin. This traces the same kind of lineage through corporate ownership - past holding companies, trusts, and nominees - back to the natural person or persons who ultimately own or control an entity. That is exactly what KYB and beneficial-ownership regulation ask: not who holds shares on paper, but who sits at the root of the chain.
